  • UH Research Cluster Seminars Scheduled

    The Office of Research Initiatives is hosting research cluster seminars every 2nd and 4th Friday from 1-2 p.m. in room 220 of the M.D. Anderson Library. Each seminar will feature three faculty presentations of 10-15 minutes each. The first seminar, on Friday, Feb. 13, will feature Dr. Amin Kayali of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and TLC2-affiliated researchers Dr. J. Leigh Leasure of the Department of Biology and Biochemistry and Dr. George Zouridakis, director of the Biomedical Imaging Lab. For more information, e-mail jktrahan@uh.edu.


  • World Plone Day 2008 7th November 2008, Houston Texas, USA

    TLC2 and Enfold Systems hosted the World Plone Day 2008 (WPD) at the University of Houston in PGH room 232. More than 30 members of the Plone Community in 22 countries on five continents are conducting WPD around the world. The event promotes and educates the worldwide public about of the benefits of using Plone in Education, Government, NGOs, and in Business. Photo gallery.


  • Fennessey Ranch 25 October 2008, Bayside, USA

    TLC2 and UH are proud sponsors of Fennessey Ranch, a living laboratory where young students learn about nature and science first hand. On October 25, student groups will converge on the Ranch for a one-day blowout featuring fun activities and presentations to help them develop a better appreciation of biodiversity, conservation and the sciences. Students will learn how scientific disciplines are applied to studying wildlife.


  • Supercomputing 2008 15-21 November 2008, Austin, USA

    The Texas Learning and Computation Center will attend SC08, along with other members of Gulf Coast Academic Supercomputing (GCAS). UH faculty members will deliver brief presentations in the booth on their novel approaches and benefits of their research.
