The Los Alamos Computer Science Institute (LACSI) conducts research in computer science issues relevant to the Department of Energy's Accelerated Strategic Computing Iniative (ASCI) program. LACSI consists of Computer Science departments at universities, companies, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. The institute's goal is to enhance computer science while supporting the US Department of Energy's ASCI. The University of Houston has been a participating member of the LACSI community of institutions since LACSI's inception in 1998. The LACSI research at UH is conducted within the Texas Learning & Computation Center (TLC2). This site contains information specific to the University of Houston's contribution to the institute.
