Any institution in the state of Texas that shares the goals of HiPCAT is
eligible to join. Membership in HiPCAT requires:
- identifying technical staff with HPC and grid computing expertise and
interests who will participate in HiPCAT activities;
- having at least one participant in every HiPCAT meeting and
videoconference (one per month);
- sharing experiences and expertise in HPC and grid computing with other
HiPCAT members in these meetings and videoconferences;
- enabling some local computing resources to be made available for HiPCAT
activities; and
- agreeing to participate in the evaluation of computing technologies
that HiPCAT identifies as potentially valuable for accomplishing its
goals.
