- Grendel: Our new cluster that has 210 dual-slot quad-core nodes with Intel 5450 processors
for a total of 1680 3.0 GHz cores, connected with DDR Infiniband, with a rating of
20 peak teraflops and 16.5 HPL teraflops. A 70 terabyte Luster file system runs
over Infiniband. The cluster supports SGE for batch scheduling. A top500.org listing
has been submitted and is expected in November 2008.
- Hrothgar: Our major compute resource with 12TB of public shared Lustre storage both public and private
nodes are connected by SDF Infiniband and Gigabit Ehternet. It is one our major compute
resource with over 1000 cores of which, 640 cores are for public access. The
public portion of the machine has 64 dual quad-core 2.33 GHz Intel 5345 processors each
with 12 GB memory and 64 3.2GHz dual single-core Intel "Irwindale" processors with 4 GB
memory each. The quad-core nodes have Infinihost III Lx (PCI-e) cards and
the older nodes have Infinihost (PCI-X) cards.
- Minigar: Has 20 dual single-core Intel "Irwindale" processors (3.6GHz) and 4 GB memory each. The
cluster is connected by Gigabit Ethernet.
- Antaeus: Antaeus is mixture of public and private nodes and share 18 terabyte Lustre file system runs
over Gigabit Ethernet. It has 48 (16 public) 3.0 GHz dual-slot dual-core Intel 5160 processors
for a total of 192 cores connected with Gigabit Ehternet, with a rating of 2.3 peak teraflops.
Access to the public portion of Antaeus is limited through Grid certificates.
