Patrick Bellamy is the Chairman of the Port Strategic Security Council. He is also a member of the Houston-Harris County Regional Homeland Security Advisory Council. Mr. Bellamy has been planning and deploying information technology infrastructure for forty years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bellamy was Regional Vice President and Executive Director with SBC (now AT&T). In this role, he was responsible for Technology Sales and Support, Technology Certifications/Assurance, and Technology Planning within SBC’s traditional five states (Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Texas).

Mr. Bellamy has deployed a variety of “first” technologies as part of planning the St. Louis, Tulsa, Houston, and Paris networks, among others. He was also involved in a variety of industry emergency response teams and in the development of related process-oriented efforts. Mr. Bellamy’s organizations coordinated technologies for the Rendez Vouz Houston, the G7 Economic Summit, the Republican National Convention, and other strategic events. He also wrote the technology planning document for the 2012 Olympic Game effort.

Among his community involvement efforts, Patrick Bellamy is the Founding Partner of the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering’s Houston InfoComm Technology (HiT) Initiative. Similarly, Mr. Bellamy is a board member of the Houston READ Commission and co-Founder of the Houston Area Technology Advancement Center (HATAC). He has also served as the Chairman of the Executive Board for the Gulf Coast Alliance for Minorities in Engineering. In addition, Mr. Bellamy currently serves on a number of education-oriented advisory boards including the University of Houston College of Technology, Houston ISD Career and Technology Department, Alief ISD Career and Technology Department, North Harris Montgomery County College, Houston Community College, Spring ISD and others.
