The “Watch This!”

Visualization and Video Festival

The “Watch This!” Vis and Vid Fest is not just a film festival, but is open to submissions of all types of visual creation in all fields of endeavor at the University of Houston.  Art films, animations, documentaries, are traditionally associated with film festivals, and are all welcome to be submitted. But, modern technologies have blurred the boundaries of visual presentation to include 3D objects, worlds and animations, and virtual creations of all types from science and engineering fields as well as the humanities.  The main goal of the Vis and Vid Fest is to celebrate the wide  range of diverse creativity on our campus and give the University community a venue and opportunity to show their work to a wider audience.

Deadline for submissions: Monday April 20th, 2009.

Screenings and announcement of prizes: The week of May 4th, 2009.

Eligibility: All categories open to all members of the University of Houston System (all campuses).  Entries must be self-created by individuals or groups associated with the campus.  Additionally scientific or engineering entries are welcome from researchers at Gulf Coast Consortia institutions associated with UH through the Keck Center.

Submissions must be copied to DVD, accompanied by a submission form, and delivered or mail to the TLCC office front desk, Room 218, Philip G. Hoffman Hall (PGH).  Please see the rules page for details.
