The “Watch This!”
Visualization and Video Festival
The “Watch
This!” Vis and Vid Fest is not just a film festival, but is open to submissions of all types of visual creation in all fields of
endeavor at the
University
of
Houston. Art films, animations, documentaries,
are traditionally associated with film festivals, and are all welcome to be
submitted. But, modern technologies have blurred the boundaries of visual
presentation to include 3D objects, worlds and animations, and virtual
creations of all types from science and engineering fields as well as the
humanities. The main goal of the
Vis and Vid Fest is to celebrate the wide range of diverse creativity on our
campus and give the University community a venue and opportunity to show their
work to a wider audience.
Deadline for submissions: Monday April 20th, 2009.
Screenings and announcement of prizes: The week of May 4th, 2009.
